Hey there my name is Ollie!

 

Let me share a bit about my professional journey:

 

After finishing up high school, I dove headfirst into the world of Visual Arts, earning my stripes at TAFE with three different certificates in 'Film & Television,' 'Visual Arts - Graphic Design,' and  'Business.'

 

My career kicked off back in '95 at Snap Printing, where I cut my teeth on design and print production. From there, I leapt into the bustling world of full-time work with a Brisbane design recruitment agency, where I rubbed elbows with advertising gurus, packaging wizards, and magazine moguls. It was a whirlwind adventure that took me from Brisbane working around Australia in a media frenzy!

 

While Graphic Design was my first passion, I couldn't resist the allure of Film, Video and Photography,

 

In 2011, I embarked on an epic journey, spending six months crafting "Ben Wilson's The Filthy West," an adrenaline-fueled documentary on Kitesurfing that made waves purchased and broadcast by National Geographic TV.

 

As a self employed freelancer, I spread my wings launching my very own sports mag, 'Freedom Kitesurfing Magazine,' from 2010 to 2020. It was a wild ride that saw me diving headfirst into business management, marketing, content creation, and some seriously epic photo shoots around the world!

 

Lately, armed with my trusty photography and drone gear, I've been diving deep into the world of video content creation for a variety of diverse businesses.

 

So where does DJing fit into all this? Around 2010 a good friend of mine opened a bar (Sol Bar Maroochydore) and needed a DJ. Without any experience but needing a break from the heavy computer work, I offered my somewhat amateur skills and jumped in head first! Let's just say that first year was a bit rough sorry OG punters!... But 14 years later DJing is something I've embraced that compliments my visual arts, and helps to get me some time off the computer.
